If you are an owner who is already listed with a Web Directory, you know how time consuming it is to respond to all your prospective guests. Each message you receive requires a reply, and each reply you send can arrive after the guest finds a different unit. On average, using a directory requires 10 minutes of your time every day of the year. So we are bring the traffic and real booking for you.

Check Availability
It is Easier For You To Do the Search Yourself
If you call and ask us to do a search for you (i.e. for us to go on-line and go through exactly the same search steps as you can), we have no way to show you the Photos, Details, Rates and more. Doing your own search is a much better idea.

All Registered Units Are On-Line
Although we represent thousands of properties in locations around the world, we may not have one to suit your requirements. Every registered unit listed with Owner Direct is visible They are ALL visible to you. There is nothing more that we can do for you if you have already done a broader search and still cannot find a good match.
Search by Price
We cannot provide a search by price because some rates vary by night. However, there is a provision to sort the results of a search by the cost. Once you have found your destination, select the arrival date by clicking on the mini calendar image, select the number of nights of your stay and the number of occupants. Then click 'Search'. The result is a list of "available" units for the dates you have entered. On the right of the page above the first available unit shown, you will see 'Sort List: *Random *Cost'. The first list which is shown to you is in 'Random' order. To view the list by lowest cost upwards, select 'Cost'.

If you are unsure of exactly where you want to go, you can click on the broader search region options located at the top of some of the maps.

Click on Location near the top of the unit web page. Look for 'VIEW an approximate location on MapQuest'. Mapquest maps are usually available in Canada, USA and the majority of Europe.

Due to security and privacy reasons we never provide "exact" locations until you have committed to a booking or match for the property. You can be rest assured that we will do whatever we can to assist you with your location questions. Properties Are Furnished


Maximum Occupancy
Flexible Bed Configuration ... Limited Occupancy
Some owners limit the number of occupants to less than their beds can accommodate. This is usually done when the owner knows the comfortable level for their unit.

The extra bed capacity provides extra flexibility for the number of couples, singles and children.

Questions About A Property?
We take the time to try and answer all of your questions with a detailed description of each unit. We do not describe what a unit does not have.

Each unit has its own webpage with the following areas to provide details to assist you with making an informed decision:

Conditions: Arrival date, special conditions and maximum occupants.

Unit Description: Amenities, parking, bed summary, highchair, cribs, kitchen, bathrooms, view, air conditioning and more information.

Location: May contain a Mapquest link to the general location of the unit and the distances from the unit to shopping and dining, golf, ski run or lifts.

Payment and Policies: Owner's payment details and policies

The Unusual
If you have a question about something extraordinary, we will contact the owner for you. When you complete your request for the unit, there is a memo field where you can type your questions.


Holding A Property

RentalNow.com Pending Matches Are Usually Not Allowed
Pending bookings are generally not allowed because they create confusion and usually are not necessary. The unit will probably be available if the guest calls back soon.

The Exception - Pending Status for a Maximum of Four Hours
When a pending guest is serious and requires time to arrange air tickets, a pending match is possible. Pending matches are limited to 4 hours. To arrange a pending match, the pending guest must provide credit card information, be willing to act quickly and be easily reached by phone or email. During the four hours, the owner is not notified of the pending booking.

A Pending Match Hides the Unit From A Website (Visitor) Search
A guest should either remember the unit ID or login to their guest record where there is a link to the unit on their Match tab.

Payment - Credit Card

Each unit's description includes the payment details.

For example, an owner might indicate they accept payments by: Visa - Master Card - Money Order or Cashiers Cheque - Direct Bank Deposit

Are the rates on your website per person or per room?
All rates on the RentalNow.com website are per unit per night, unless stated differently.

Total Cost Includes Taxes and Fees
List of Available Units - Quoted Cost Per Unit
The cost presented on a list of available unit is the total cost per unit. This includes extra person charges, taxes and fees.

There are no other charges or fees. There are no extra guest fees. From the list of available unit you can click on the price to view a detailed breakdown of rates, fees and taxes.

Rate and Availability Calendars
Prices in these pop-up calendars are based on per night rates and do not include possible taxes or extra person charges. You must enter dates in order to obtain a total cost for the dates that you are requesting.

How do I know that my reservation is confirmed?
When you have completed the four steps of the reservation process, an instant on-screen confirmation will appear. It will show your reservation details as well as your booking number. We advise you to print it out. Within a couple of minutes, you will receive a booking pending to confirm email, and the owner will be noticed for this booking, and the booking will be confirmed by Owner directly. Then you will receive all necessary contact info by email to complete the booking.

Travel Agents Working with Rental Now
Gross Up Rates
Because registered owners do not build an agent's fee into their rates, travel agents must add on their fee (i.e. gross up the rent) before quoting their client. The Best Value For A Travel Agent's Client

I do not have a credit card. Can I still book a room?
Unfortunately RentalNow require a credit card to secure a reservation. We are not able to process any reservation without a credit card by our booking engine system.

Is it safe to fill in my credit card number? How secure is the RentalNow.com website?
Your credit card information is sent to us through a secure server. We use the latest, most secure technology available, which encrypts all your personal and credit card details. The encryption method used is the industry standard "Secure Socket Layer" (SSL) technology. Our SSL certificate has been issued by GeoTrusts.We also use a firewall which protects our servers and network against unauthorized access.
